We spent an afternoon at Lizard Head Pass, 10222 ft., San Miguel County, in late August. The usual storm clouds rolled in providing us with atmospheric drama. The circumstances of impending showers sped up the painting process – imbuing our paintings with an appealing energetic flair. |
Lizard Head and Lizard Head Brook were painted from the same location. Just a slight turn of the easel and shifting point of view yielded completely new and compelling compositions. You don't have to go far to find a good painting in Colorado. |
