"Pitti Palace, Tuscany," oil on panel

This view of the Pitti Palace was made one hot and muggy afternoon in June. In an effort to escape the sun I climbed a hill and found a nice hiding place in the bushes with a sweet view of the countryside. As it happened I could not escape the tourists and in my frustration to find an even more secluded venue, fell into a pile of brush. Still, I managed to save the little painting and earn my gelato for the day.
